WELCOME TO ICA
The Islamic Center of Amarillo (ICA) is a diverse, vibrant, and historic community that was established in 1993. We seek to facilitate and provide spiritual, educational, and social services to those residing in the area. ICA hosts a variety of regular prayers and programming, for all ages and demographics, throughout the year. Our goal is to properly adapt the teachings of the Islamic faith and provide an opportunity to all people to employ a lifestyle of purpose and good, while working together to ensure we grow together as one unified local and global community.

Our Story
The Islamic Center of Amarillo (ICA) was founded in 1993 by a group of dedicated muslims who wanted a space to meet the demands of the growing Muslim community in Amarillo and the neighboring towns. Since it’s inception, ICA has been the pillar for the community.

Meet our Imam
Mahmoud Abdelhalim Massoud
Imam Mahmoud Abdelhalim Massoud was born and raised in Doha, Qatar. He finished his memorization of the Quran at a very young age of 14. He won local Quran competitions in Doha and started as Imam at 18 years old. He’s been the Imam at the Islamic Center of Amarillo since Ramadan 1442.
